Meet Dr. R. Duplain – Naturopath in Berkeley

My Story

I started Berkeley Center for Natural Medicine, Bay Area Center for Nutrient Therapy and my private practice Dr. Duplain ND to provide patients access to a greater set of Therapies and Treatments that are no longer part of America’s Standard Medical Model.

I believe most patients are asking to be taught the tools to maintain their health and vitality. It is important that Doctors educate patients on how to approach health and how to apply the tools of healing. I am always awed and inspired by my patient’s stories and their commitment to stay on their healing journey.

I started my Practice in West Berkeley, CA but moved up to the foothills near the Campus of University of California, Berkeley. We have put significant thought into how to make our office a place where patients feel they can come and heal. We are also feel fortunate to share in Cal Berkeley energy of innovation and scientific advancement.

Through forming a strong Doctor-patient relationship, I can educate patients on how to determine which treatments in their toolbox are indicated to address the current health challenge.

My Vision

My vision is to create a healing environment where we can use the latest technologies and the resources of the natural world to provide effective treatments that restore the vibrancy of health. We will see each patient’s unique struggle with “dis-ease”.

We will place the highest priority on the doctor-patient relationship, reminiscent of family doctors of past generations. We believe that only healthy people can build healthy families and communities. We aspire to providing our patients with the greatest chance at restoring their vitality, the vitality their families and ultimately the vitality of our their Communities.

My Mission

It is my mission to marry old-school treatments and current technology to provide even the sickest patients with a road back to the ease of health. I specialize in “Caring” for patients by using my extensive knowledge of the body’s natural healing ability to assess each symptom and develop effective treatments that improve a patient’s physical, mental and emotional health.
